TRANSFORMERS "REVENGE OF THE FALLEN TRAILER"

The Dream “Rockin That Thang” Remix Video - Behind the Scenes

Rick Ross ft Busta Rhymes & Birdman - Shittin On Them

I’m not positive where this track is from. It can be another Deeper Than Rap leak or from what i’ve been told it can be from the collaboration album with Rick Ross & Birdman titled The H. Regardless of where it’s from, it’s amazing.

Drake - Interview w/ Eighty

Drake is going to take on 2009 and become a full fledged Hip Hop star. His latest mixtape So Far Gone has made tidal waves on and off the blogosphere. Here, Eighty81 catches up with the Young Money representative to talk about a variety of topics and a few surprises. Check it out.

Jay-z - Mind Rite (Say Hello Remix)

To say Jay-z has his mind right is an understatement, judging by his body of work, his wife and his check book. But, the flossed out MC never forgets to remind us just how much richer he is then us and oddly enough we appreciate it every time. The latest Hov joint to hit the net “Mind Rite” is a old verse from “Say Hello” from American Gangster with a new keyboard heavy beat. The track will be featured on Big Mike Tape 4th Quarter Pressure Pt 3. The track was spotted over at Jon Jon’s blog.

Blacksmith TV Episode 3 - Rocking The Bells Pt. 2

Blacksmith TV Episode 4 - "Rocking The Bells Pt. 2" from tunji balogun on Vimeo.I’m really glad that an artist of Kweli’s caliber is continuing with his vloging series. Check out the latest video above and the description below.

Arriving just in time for his Rock The Bells performance, Kweli puts together his set at the last minute, links up with Mos Def to run through a couple of Black Star songs, and re-tells the story of eating McDonalds the first time he and Mos met.

CurT@!n$ - Black Folks (Trailer Part 1)

We’ve already heard CurT@!n$’ heartfelt and poignant track entitled “Black Folks” about a week ago, now he unveils the trailer for his upcoming video to match the audio. The sneak peak of the video is incredibly vivid and riveting and it’s not even two minutes long. The video showcases some flashes of an escape slave, brutal racism and of course the MC CurT@!ns on the mic, all backed up by unabashedly defiant soliloquy. If the preview is this amazing I can’t wait until the full version.

CONVERSE - Marine Sea Crisp Boat Shoe

First released as the Sea Star in 1982, the newly launched CONVERSE Marine Sea Crisp is a resurrection of the former. Feature the same boat shoe-like silhouette and the unmistakable moccasin forefoot vamp, the canvas Marine-Sea Crisp added a new element – gingham check pattern insole, to complete that New England component. Another add-on is the vibrant colorway of aqua, red-pink, and bright yellow, aside for the traditional all-white. Currently available at all retailers with CONVERSE account, including FLAUGE of ZOZOTOWN online shopping network

This track is piff from the beat to everyone’s verses. I’m happy to see Twista back in the swing of things. I’d like to hear what a collaboration between him and Kanye would sound like in 2009, so Ye if your reading this call him up, I wanna hear it happen!

“Officer Ricky” Episode 4 (Suge Knight & Akon)

The weekend is over but it’s never too late for a Saturday morning cartoon. The latest Officer Ricky animated episode contains guest appearances from Chris Brown, Akon, Suge Knight, T.I. and more. Check out the video above for a much needed laugh on a Monday morning.

Lil Wayne - PaYow

When Lil Wayne says “we are not the same I am a Martian” I have to believe that it isn’t just regular rap bravado. Only someone non human could pump out as much material as the New Orleans native does. The track below “PaYow” is a Weezy song hot off the presses from Big Mike’s 4th Quarter Pressure Pt. 3 mixtape. Check it out.

Asher Roth x Kid Cudi - Live @ Vegas

Asher Roth and Kid Cudi are on a serious grind getting their name out to the few people who aren’t aware yet. One of their latest stops was a performance at this years FSAS MAGIC in Las Vegas. Both MCs took to the stage and tore it down. Check out the video above.

TK 101: Terry Kennedy Defines “Swag”

Terry Kennedy hit us with a video last week dropping some serious hate on Bow Wow (see here), now TK’s back again, but this time on a street collegiate level. TK helps us learn the way of the cool by defining “swag”, flashing his ice, showing off his Supra Society sneaker, and much, much more. Yeah, this is pretty educational for sure. Listen to what TK has to say and get your learn on…

A Bathing Ape Shark Sweat Stadium Jacket

A Bathing Ape’s full zip shark hoodie is one of the most popular and sought after items from the company. The design is now almost as synonymous with the brand as the ape logo or the star on the Bapesta. Therefore, Bape now works the design into several other pieces. The latest is a varsity jacket styled piece with material that can be seen on a sweat shirt. The hood attached zips all the way up to the top much like the new instantly recognizable shark hoodies, the hood is adorned with shark eyes, mouth and other elaborate designs. The design comes in Grey and Navy and are now available at Cliff Edge.

Nooka

With a major in Architecture from the High School of Art and Design in NYC, the young Matthew Waldman opted to freelance upon graduation instead of attending Harvard U for design.

Subsequently working as a creative for various design firms in Japan and the U.K., Waldman escaped the corporate box and launched Nooka, a watch brand that has received international acclaim. “The linear and graphic representation of time with Nooka timepieces presents a more intuitive way to view time. The visual mass increases as time passes, giving weight to an ephemeral and abstract concept.”

Positioning Nooka as a fashion brand rather than a watch or tech brand, Waldman has seen much success being featured in mass media and along the wrists of top celebrities.

With a dream to concept mobile phones, design a car dashboard, and rewrite the building code for residential high rises in NYC and design the perfect city apartment building, Waldman sits at the top of the list of designers to watch in 2009.

Raje - So Fly f. Lil Wayne

Here’s another cut from the Young Money West artist, off his upcoming mixtape, Change in Power.

Raje - So Fly f. Lil Wayne

Big Sean - Million Dollars x Supa Dupa [Full/CDQ]

Two tracks from G.O.O.D. music artist Big Sean, one of these track I posted before (Million Dollars) which was unmastered. Both tracks are final mixed album versions

Big Sean - Million Dollars (prod. WrighTrax)

Big Sean - Supa Dupa (prod. WrighTrax) [Full Version]

Wale - W.A.L.E.D.A.N.C.E. (Live in Australia)

Wale shuts Australia down with his performance of “W.A.L.E.D.A.N.C.E.”. It’s cool to see him do it big on an international scale. It’s not a thing of luck either his grind and work ethic is undeniable. So big ups to the homie Wale.

Lupe Fiasco - Go Go Gadget Flow & Dumb It Down (Live @ USF)

I know I show love, and I got love for plenty of people in Hip Hop, but I’ma come out and set the record straight. Lupe Fiasco is one of the best, if not the best Hip Hop artist to emerge in this generation. I would go on and explain why in a long well deserved breakdown, but I wont. Instead I’m just going to put that out there if you disagree with me cool. Honestly, I know due to the amount of genres I post that we have people checking us from all musical walks of life. If you don’t like Hip Hop, or just haven’t given it a chance - do yourself a favor and get yourself Lupe’s albums. The first one is ground breaking, and the second is a follow up that cant be denied. I mean as much as Wayne deserved to win a Grammy Award (because of album sales, and yes it was a good album too) you just cant put Wayne and Lupe in the same category and have Lupe lose that’s some crazy sh*t to me.

T.I. - This Is Detox (feat. Kobe)

A CDQ version of the song formerly known as “This Is Hip Hop” has surfaced recently. Apparently this is a reference track meant for Dr.Dre’s album which may or most likely may not (I’m not as optimistic as y’all) release this year. For me, it was always just a rumor that Dr.Dre had ghost writer’s all over his last album Chronic 2001, but I mean I kinda wrote it off as an urban legend.

T.I. - This Is Detox (feat. Kobe)

TreaZon - Tonight (feat. Drake)

I was checking up on ATF (b.k.a. everything Drake possible), and I came across this “new” but old release, which Drake is featured on. By the way if you haven’t checked out All Things Fresh please do, becuase the revamped the look and it’s sexy.

Team Patta Varsity Jackets

The Patta crew blessed their team with a nice and classic varsity jacket for the new year. They kept it simple and made a black body, white sleeves, “Team Patta” embroidery on the back and of course a large varsity “P” on the front. The jackets were made for employees and crew only and will not be sold.

Bape Spring/Summer 2009 Collection | New February Releases

Bape has once again come out with some new product. Our favorites in the release include the hooded stadium jacket, the chambray shirts, as well as some of the new knitwear. They also released some new backpacks an bags in several colorways.

LA FOUINE - DU FERME (COCAiNE DANS LE JEANS)

QuEST - Check The Rhime (feat. Nero)

When I got word that two of the nicest up and coming emcees got together for a track I was looking forward to it, then I listened when i listened to it something changed. I was hearing my younger man show appreciation for ATCQ, I mean it’s definitely not abnormal, becuase people are Hip Hop savvy these day, but on the flip side I respect that a lot. I been posting these two guys for a minute, so you should already be familiar with there quality - enjoy.

Hip Hop Official With Wale pt.1

Today we have a pretty dope interview with D.C. native Wale. We got a chance follow Wale around the night he performed at the Key Club in Hollywood. This is on some behind the scenes, exclusive access type stuff…..It was so dope that we turned it into a 2 part interview. Here’s the first part, as we ride with him from sound check at the venue to an in-store appearance at HUF skateshop on Fairfax for the release of his new t-shirt. He talks about his love for LA and gives some insight on his upcoming album. We also learn that real gangsters roll Priuses*.

Rick Ross feat. Ball Greezy - Believe It

Every day we seem to be getting a new Ross track. The latest is another braggadocios fest over triumphant keyboard stabs and stutter step drums. The song entitled “Believe It” is featuring Ball Greezy and will be on the forth coming Deeper Than Rap. This is all good stuff Ricky, but now we’re all anticipating the “Maybach Music II” which will reportedly feature Weezy and Yeezy. Leak it!

Rick Ross feat. Ball Greezy - Believe It

The Cool Kids - 2K Pennies

There’s already a video for The Cool Kids’ “Pennies” but director Yoram Benz but a new spin on the visuals and released his alternate version entitled “2K Pennies”. This one incorporates a performance of the song with graphics that look like old school Nintendo graphics. My game heads will appreciate this one. Check out the video above.

The Dream ft Kanye West - Walking On The Moon

With all the love Kanye has expressed for The Dream it’s no surprise that this track has surfaced. Another New Music Cartel exclusive. Kanye and The Dream are very similar in my opinion, different genres yet very similar feel. This track sounds as nice as the title, and Kanye is rapping!

The Dream ft Kanye West - Walking On The Moon

Kanye West & T-Pain - Flightschool

The 2nd New Music Cartel exclusive of the day. These 2 are arguably my favorite artists right now, and this track delivers. As Kanye evolves as an artist he just keeps getting better and better. Honestly, the same thing can be said for T-Pain. Both of them go in over this calm and relaxing beat and if you’re a fan of either you’ll love this as much as i did.

Kid Cudi x Kanye West - 106 & Park Freestyles

If you weren’t glued to your TV set awaiting Kid Cudi and Kanye’s videos to appear on 106 & Park, then you also missed a quick cipher the two participated in. Cudi confidently rips through what sounds like an upcoming album joint. Kanye West then quiets the crowd with what he described as his verse from a guest appearance on Rick Ross’ “Maybach Music II”. Although Yeezy forgot he was on live TV for a second and spit a few curse words, he also reminded us that although he sings from time to time his spit game is still strong. Check it out above.

Rick Ross feat. Avery Storm - On Top Of The World

If there is a wack song for Ross’ Deeper Then Rap I haven’t heard it yet. Although he’s embroiled in what will probably prove to be a never ending beef with 50 Cent, Ross leaks another joint entitled “On Top Of The World”. What’s standing out the most about his upcoming album is that all the tracks have a particularly smooth vibe to them. Each song has been more melodic then the other one and this joint follows that pattern. Accompanied by Avery Storm, Ross shows how well he can pick beats and not to shabby on rhyming either. Check it out below.

Rick Ross feat. Avery Storm - On Top Of The World

Big Sean - Million Dollars

I have to say, this new Big Sean track entitled “Million Dollars” reminds me of early Kanye West. You know, minus the mullet and draped in Polo? However, that’s not to say that Sean doesn’t have his own distinctive style. But being compared to Kanye is definitely not a bad thing. The young MC brings together a minimalist beat, a melodic chorus and lyrics about future wealth. Although this song was previously released on Sean’s mixtape a while back, it’s being re released due to the fact that the MC will soon be shooting a video for the song. This is now my theme song until I get a million. I’m with you Sean.

50 Cent - Pimpin’ Curly “The Fast Lane” Episode #3

Taz Arnold featured in Los Angeles Times-Style Profile

What are your influences?
When I grew up, there was a hippie thing going on. At the same time, L.A. was a magnet for people who wanted to enjoy the weather. Berry Gordy moved Motown here, all the athletes who got money wanted to move here. I was soaking up the hippie, black consciousness, surf-beach aesthetic. My parents weren't artists -- my dad was a construction worker and my mother a manager at AT&T -- but they made things like embroidered denim. My mom had magnetizing water, pyramids, rainbows and neon lights in the house. We had a lot of cats, and owls lived in our palm trees. It was like living in an aviary.

Tell me about Pastelle.
Kanye hired me in July -- we were working together anyway. His eye is very critical. We're trying to come up with something he really digs so we can get the line off the ground.

It must be nice to be a rapper. GOOD records’ Kid Cudi gets treated to a day at the arcade fans’ dream world Dave & Busters. However, it wasn’t all fun and games as Complex magazine had an ulterior motive and shot some pictures of Cudi for his latest piece in the periodical. Check out the video above.

Rick Ross - Kiss My Pinky Ring Curly (50 Cent Diss)

Rick Ross and 50 cent seem intent on continuing the beef. Ross took the feud a step further and went to 50’s home turf in Queens New York for his diss song “Kiss My Pinky Ring Curly”. Check out the video above of Ricky taking a tour of 50’s hood. I hope you “swaggaless monkeys” enjoy it.

Kid Cudi ft. Wale - Look Up in Da Stars

Kid Cudi and Wale hook up for a collaborative effort entitled “Look Up In Da Stars”. Anyone who has been keeping up with Hip Hop in the past year or so is excited about the two guaranteed future superstars and like minded MCs hooking up for a track. The beat encompass a synth heavy vibe and a futuristic sound. The track situated below is tagged up by the DJ but it doesn’t even matter. Check it out.

Kid Cudi ft. Wale - Look Up in Da Stars

Lil Wayne - February 18th

I’m not sure where this comes from but the track seems like a quick freestyle from Weezy. Keeping in theme with the date related tracks that his Young Money label mate Drake utilized for his song “November 18th”. Wayne’s “February 18th” contains a weird spaced out Electronic rhythm that the MC rides. I’m guessing he completed this joint today judging from the song title.

Lil Wayne - February 18th

Rick Ross - What Goes Around Comes Around

Just when you thought this beef was dying down, Ricky jump starts it with a video touring 50s hood yesterday and a new track today “What Goes Around Comes Around”. This one is over a pretty menacing track and has the boss spitting murderous lines at his foe. Also, there’s a short apperance from 50’s mortal enemy Bang Em Smurf. Check out the track below you “swaggaless monkeys”. Please expect that phrase every time there’s a Ross diss song.
