Kris Van Assche for Oliver Peoples 2009 Spring/Summer Collection

Originally debuting a little bit over a year ago, luxury eyewear makers Oliver Peoples linked up with at the time newly appointed creative director for Dior Homme, Kris Van Assche. The collaborative effort featured Van Assche’s penchant for masculine cues in a plastic interchangeable frame. A new ivory colorway has been added to the mix for this season alongside the original colors. Slight details can be seen throughout the frames including a custom case and a KVA logo. The eyewear was recently seen worn by Usher at the Barack Obama Inauguration last month as well. The new colorway should be available soon at OliverPeoples.com.

I’ve been watching a lot of self-shot amateur videos from various hip-hop personalities as of late, most notably the whole Rick Ross/50 Cent beef as well as the other one that definitely deserves mention, the Soulja Boy vs. Bow Wow saga (thanks Anwar) revolving around Lamborghinis. All have resulted in some cheap fun and entertainment with something on a similar but un-beef related note featuring Diddy bringing on-board famous fashion photographer Terry Richardson.

With Pharrell Williams adorning the upcoming issue of Nylon Magazine, the publication went the further distance creating a short video. Highlighting both his subsequent photoshoots and his philosophies on various aspects of his life, the video is a short but interesting look into the successful artist’s personality and demeanor.
