New 17″ Apple MacBook Pro
Earlier today, Apple announced the launch of their lightest and thinnest MacBook Pro to date. One of its most talked about features is Apple’s longest lasting battery ever to be implemented in any of its notebooks along with a new 17″ screen and various upgrades under the hood. Its new and improved battery takes the cake though, with a life of up to 8 hours on a single charge and can be recharged up to 1000 times — compared with only 200 to 300 times for typical notebooks. Along with an impressive 700:1 contrast ratio and 60% greater color gamut from its predecessor, the new MacBook Pro has elevated its price tag to $2,799. Wallpaper Design Awards 2009
Under the careful watch of a star-studded and influential cast, the likes of Kanye West, Jean Nouvel, Ines de la Fressange, Marc Newson, Sir Ken Adam and Stefano Pilati factored in for Wallpaper*’s Design Awards 2009. The categories include the best new domestic appliance, new restaurant, new private house, new or renovated hotel, new public building, city, men’s fashion collection, women’s fashion collection, new grooming product as well as most life-enhancing product and furniture designer of the year. Sabit 2008 Fall/Winter Collection
New York based label, Sabit, continue their premium Japanese streetwear meets Americana couture designs. Highlighted as one of the top labels during their Project Las Vegas tradeshow appearance, designer Shoichi Amemiya finds inspiration from his Japanese roots combined with his experience as director of outerwear for Marc Ecko. Meaning “the hook” or “the best part of a song” in his native tongue, Sabit reflects Amemiya’s vision of creating enjoyable apparel with a subtle flare. Supra Skytop ‘Goldie’
A bit over a year ago, Supra released an all-gold Skytop. They just released another one, which uses a bit of black as well. These ‘Goldie’ Skytops are available at select retailers including Factory 413.
