This is one of the dopest mixtapes released this year, by Mike Posner & the Brain Trust straight out of Michigan. It also features G.O.O.D Music's own, Big Sean on 3 songs, and one produced by the producer duo WrighTrax! You may know him as the brainchild behind some of Big Sean's best tracks, Posner has proved himself to be a talented producer. Mike and his live band, the Brain Trust, have developed a unique and refreshing sound somewhere between the realms of pop and hip-hop. Watch out for this growing talent!
Dwele - Workin’ On It
If you have been uninspired by new music, not to worry, as Dwele says in the above video he’s “Workin On It”. The snippet above shows Dwele apparently on the way to the studio about to go lay down some soulful tracks over a neck snapping beat. This can only mean some goodness is on the way. Check it out.
Amanda Diva - Devils (prod by Chuck Inglish)
Amanda Diva unveils yet another track from her upcoming project. This one is entitled “Devils” and find the Diva projecting a soulful vibe reminiscent of Floetry and Erykah Badu. Diva croons over piano keys and guitar relaying a cautionary tale. The track produced by Chuck Inglish is not the usual boom bap Hip Hop track that you would expect from his production, but it is refreshing to see the producer take a different route.
