Drake - So Far Gone

Drake has gone from almost obscurity in 2008 to a force to be reckoned with in 2009. With every guest verse, every leaked track Drake’s buzz has been intensified from a hum to a mighty roar. Drake promised that his new mixtape So Far Gone would drop yesterday and the internet literally went crazy in anticipation. Music forums where flooded, Drakes blog was over run with hits, twitter was set ablaze with comments yearning for new material. Now, it’s finally here. Download So Far Gone and prepare to usher in the era of Drake.
50 Cent - Tia Told Me (Rick Ross Diss)

Last night 50 cent posted a particularly heinous video, that I’m sure you’ve seen by now. Not that it matters, but you wont see that kind of stuff here. Sometimes things go too far. However, this is actually a dope song (the first dope song in the entire beef!) aimed where it belongs, at the actual adversary. Here, 50 spits some venom concerning Ross’ baby momma over a rather laid back beat. Download the track below.

Santogold’s Changes Name to Santigold

The artist formerly known as Santogold changes her name to Santigold. Santo, excuse me, Santigold isn’t saying why , but rumor is it’s because another artist by the same name has sued the artist for use of the name. Check out the rundown as posted by Brooklyn Vegan:
Change the graffiti on the bathroom wall, get your tattoo fixed, get your t-shirt airbrushed and change the name on your year end list- Santogold is now Santigold. She’s not telling you why, that’s just how it is. No unpronounceable symbol, no numbers where they shouldn’t be, no random capitalization, just plain ass Santigold so remember that.
Kanye West - See You In My Nightmare (Artwork)

Kanye and Weezy’s eerie yet brilliant duet “See You In My Nightmare” from 808s and Heartbreaks looks like it will be getting single treatment soon. This single cover posted by herfection is minimal and spooky, yet somehow emotional, just like the song. I hope this means the song will be getting the video treatment soon.
Souljah Boy feat. Lil Wayne - Turn My Swag On (Remix)

When I first heard Souljah Boy’s “Turn My Swag On” I immediately thought of how great Weezy’s melodic, halted delivery would sound over the instrumental. I knew it was only a matter time before he jumped on the remix and here it is. Wayne jumps on the track and completely owns it. Rumors are flying that soon there will be a version featuring Kanye and T.I. All the have to do is throw Jay in there and we have the second song in the “Rap Pack” series.
