The firs time that Kanye came onmy radar, much like many others, is hearing the instant classic production on Jay-z’s The Blueprint. By the time Kanye dropped his debut album College Dropout he was offering a new refreshing voice in a Hip Hop landscape that was overly aggressive and gangsta. Kanye took the backpack world and the mainstream audience and helped connect them in ways that have never been done before. In the interview above we see Kanye 5 years ago and what was going through his mind at the time. 5 years doesn’t seem that long ago, but Kanye has been planning for the kind of super stardom he has now his entire life.
